The Tour Began with The First ODI. India Batted First in The First ODI. Patel And Rahane Came to Open for The Indians. Patel Was the First One to Go Back to The Pavilion. He Was Unluckily Run Out When Rahane Drove the Ball Straight and It Touched the Fingers of Fin and Then Hit Straight into The Stumps. Patel Was Found Out of The Crease and Was Given Out. He Went For 9 Of 10 Balls with One Four. Gambhir Came to The Crease and The Partnership Started to Flow. Rahane Was the Next One Back to The Hut- He Was Stumped Dancing Down the Wicket. He Was Dismissed For 15 Of 41 Balls. Kohli Came to The Crease. Gambhir Was Dismissed Courtesy of a Slower Ball by Dernbach. He Scored 32 Of 33 Balls with One Boundary.

Raina And Kohli Had Nice Partnership Of 44 Runs Before Kohli Was Caught at The Boundary. Kohli Scored 37 Of 63 Balls. Raina And Dhoni Slowly Started to Pick up The Run Rate. They Got A Good Partnership Going and Smashed Quite A Few Boundaries In Between. Raina Was the First One to Reach Fifty from The Indian Team. He Was Finally Dismissed For 61 Of the Bowling of Finn. Dhoni Continued to Score Boundaries. With A Little Support from The Lower Order He Took India to 300 Runs. He Finished On 87 Of Just 70 Balls With 10 Boundaries And 1 Six.

England Needed 301 To Win. The Chase Started Badly with Kieswetter Going Out for Just 7 Runs. Pietersen and Cook Got A Little Partnership Going. Cook Was the Next One to Be Dismissed – He Was Dismissed Playing A Big Shot. He Scored 60 Runs Off 63 Balls With 7 Boundaries.

From There on A Collapse Start Which Left England With Nothing to Hope For. Trott, Bopara and Bairstow Followed Cook Shorty. Ashwin And Jadeja Dismissed Them. They Fell For 26, 8 and 3 Respectively with None of Them Hitting A Boundary. Bresnan And Swann Were Dismissed Soon For 4 And 8 Runs Respectively. Patel Was Also Dismissed For 16 By Yadav. Finn Swung One Over the Ropes and Got A Six. Dernbach Was Dismissed Trying to Repeat the Same. England Were All Out For 174 Runs in Response to India’s 300. India Won the Match By 126 Runs and Led the Series 1-0!
